Celemetrix training services - value through knowledge and experience

Celemetrix training courses are designed to provide the skills required to competently design, install, manage, maintain and commission telecommunication and network infrastructure. Course development is undertaken internally by our extensive technical team and regularly updated to ensure training delivery contains only the most relevant and precise information. Ideally suited to field operations staff, Celemetrix training courses combine technical theory with advanced practical elements to reinforce the learning process and are conducted by our Cert IV qualified trainers.

CMT-05-001 Fibre Optic OTDR, Commissioning & Reporting, 3 days, Telstra approved training course Telstra logo

Suitable for all skill levels, this course provides the required information to confidently commission and fault-find fibre optic infrastructure. The three day course focuses on optical principles and theory, testing techniques (including OTDR's), practical testing techniques, fault finding and isolation and commissioning report development. With extensive hands on testing exercises, the course will develop the practical skills required for competency and proficiency in the field (Assessment & Telstra accreditation included).

CMT-06-020 Fibre Optic Splicing & Joint Enclosure, 5 days, Telstra approved & TITAB endorsed training course Telstra logo TITAB logo

Suitable for all skill levels, this course provides attendees with the carrier-grade skills required to confidently install fibre-optic joint enclosures and splice fibre-optic cores. During the course, each attendee will construct a minimum of six carrier certified fibre-optic joint enclosures. The extensive practical exercises are chosen to incorporate all the disciplines needed to confidently assemble fibre optic joint enclosures and splice fibre optic cores without causing fault conditions. This course gives the attendees the accreditation required to work on the Telstra network.

CMT-08-065 NBN/FTTP Network Designers, 1 day, Telstra approved training course Telstra logo

Designed for people with FTTP network design responsibilities, this course provides attendees with the skills and knowledge needed to efficiently design FTTP networks utilising the latest xPON technologies. Appropriate for all skill levels, this course will introduce attendees to the functionality of each network element as well as basic and enhanced design and architectural methodologies. Our unique mobile FTTx lab provides attendees with the opportunity to reinforce knowledge learnt through practical exercise and assessment. The outcomes associated with this course are to equip attendees with the confidence needed to design technologically efficient and cost-effective network architectures.

CMT-06-010 Fibre Optic & OTDR & DWDM training course, 2 days

Suitable for all skill levels, this course provides the information required to confidently assess the suitability of an optical link for high bandwidth multi wavelength transmission deployment (DWDM). Attendees will be introduced to complex optical fault analysis principles using an OTDR as well as dedicated test plan development and execution using dispersion and ORL test equipment. Attendees will have the opportunity to perform live testing for all elements needed to validate high bandwidth infrastructure (+10Gb/s).

CMT-07-090 NBN/FTTP Network Construction & Commissioning, 5 days, Telstra approved training course Telstra logo

Suitable for all skill levels, this course provides the required information to confidently construct, commission and fault-find FTTX networks including Telstra’s FTTP environment. All attendees are required to construct key FTTX components as well as demonstrate suitable skills for some of the more challenging optical joint enclosures needed for effective FTTX deployment. During the course each attendee will construct a minimum of four carrier-certified fibre-optic joint enclosures, install customer hardware and complete optical and customer service commissioning and fault finding.

CMT-07-080 NBN/FTTP Operations & Maintenance, 2 days, Telstra approved training course Telstra logo

Suitable for all skill levels, this course provides all the information required to confidently understand, maintain and assess the quality of triple play services over an FTTP network. Attendees will be introduced to all components of an FTTP architecture as well as build relevant components and test the performance of Voice, Video and data services as well as optical signal strength. Attendees will have the opportunity to work on a live FTTP network to explore all operational and maintenance disciplines needed to effectively and efficiently assess the quality of customer services.

CMT-06-045 Advanced Ethernet & TCP/IP, 2 days

This course is designed to provide technicians at all skill levels with an introduction to the operational fundamentals of Ethernet and TCP/IP networks. It focuses on LAN/WAN network deployment of Ethernet and associated technologies - Routing, Switching, VLAN's etc. The 7-Layer 0SI model is covered and provides practical elements to assist troubleshooting of common service-delivery problems. Course exercises include hands-on exposure to RFC2544 testing and QoS validation processes. The course concludes with an outline of the future direction of Ethernet and IP technologies.

CMT-09-125 Fluke Networks Certified Cabling Test Technician training Course (CCTT), 2 days, Fluke Networks Certified & TITAB Endorsed - NEW! Fluke Networks

The Fluke networks CCTT cabling course is designed for those who want to improve installation speed, identify cabling fault conditions and eliminate rework. This will include learning how to get the most out of their test equipment needed to certify, commission and fault find cable installations.

CMT-09-160 NBN & FTTP Overview training course, 1 day - NEW!

Suitable for all skill levels, this course is designed to provide attendees with a detailed overview of the NBN and associated FTTP technologies. Attendees will be introduced to various NBN technologies including GPON & EPON and the required construction hardware for above and below ground installations. Attendees will learn about FTTP service delivery capabilities and the potential issues associated with this type of network architecture and will be introduced to typical commissioning processes and standards associated with testing the capabilities of a FTTP network.
