The Celemetrix 2009 Complimentary Technology Roadshow -

Ignite Your Career – The NBN, It’s Technologies & the Opportunities Available to You

The Government's imminent launch of Australia’s largest telecommunications project provides great opportunities to those in the know.

As the leading player in FTTx technologies in Australia, Celemetrix will provide you with comprehensive information to plan for the NBN build.

Attend our complimentary half-day seminar to hear about:

  • Latest NBN developments – 100Mb/s service delivery – Not 12Mb/s
  • FTTP service delivery models - Why GPON?
  • Can the fibre handle it? What’s new and what you should be aware of, above & below ground
  • External plant FTTP build technologies
  • Pressure on HFC technologies
  • Benefiting from the NBN; demands on home networking, cabling & equipment
  • Effects on core network infrastructure and the development of 100Mb/s Ethernet
  • Using MPLS to manage service delivery - End to End QoS
  • Opportunities for you:
    • Design
    • Construct
    • Commission

After the initial NBN overview, as above, the seminar will break out into two targeted sessions as follows:

Breakout Session 1: FTTP – The Access – The Ultimate Connectivity Engine
When any industry experiences large investment, like the NBN, new technologies emerge and are implemented to meet the challenging demands of the network. FTTP allows for a new approach to many traditional fibre optic concepts. In this session we will explore what you should be aware of when designing, constructing and commissioning FTTP networks; new products, new commissioning techniques and most importantly what this network will deliver.

Breakout Session 2: FTTP –The Core – The Ultimate Service Delivery Engine
Most telecommunications networks today operate with some type of traffic engineering technology. In this session we will look at the use of Ethernet in the core and access networks, which is required to deliver large-scale multifaceted service models like IPTV, VOD, VoIP, video conferencing, online collaboration and so on. We will discuss the use of routing technologies (MPLS), the pitfalls and managing network engineering limits.

Note:- It is only possible to attend one break-out session per person. Please nominate which session you'd like to attend when you register.
