When any industry experiences large investment, like the NBN, new technologies emerge and are implemented to meet the challenging demands of the network. FTTP allows for a new approach to many traditional fibre optic concepts. In this session we will explore what you should be aware of when designing, constructing and commissioning FTTP networks; new products, new commissioning techniques and most importantly what this network will deliver.;
Most telecommunications networks today operate with some type of traffic engineering technology. In this session we will look at the use of Ethernet in the core and access networks, which is required to deliver large-scale multifaceted service models like IPTV, VOD, VoIP, video conferencing, online collaboration and so on. We will discuss the use of routing technologies (MPLS), the pitfalls and managing network engineering limits.
